Terms of Service
Last updated 10 September 2026
SendWide is in early access and not generally available. These terms apply to early-access participants. They will be revised before public launch, and you will be told before anything changes that affects you.
1. The service
SendWide sends email on your behalf, triggered by events in your Shopify store, according to the flows and templates you configure. You decide what is sent and to whom; we deliver it.
2. Your responsibilities
- Consent. Only send marketing email to people who agreed to receive it. SendWide enforces the consent state Shopify records, but you are responsible for how that consent was obtained.
- Content. Your messages are yours. Do not send anything unlawful, deceptive, or designed to impersonate someone else.
- Accurate sender details. A real business name and a real postal address, because the Spam Act 2003 requires both in every marketing message.
- Your account. Keep your API keys secret. Anything done with your key is treated as done by you.
3. What we will not do
We will not send to a suppressed address, and we will not disable that behaviour on request. If someone unsubscribed, bounced permanently, or reported a message as spam, they stay suppressed. This protects your sending reputation as much as their inbox.
4. Acceptable use
No purchased, scraped or rented lists. No sending to addresses that did not come from your own store. Accounts generating sustained complaint or bounce rates that endanger delivery for other merchants may be suspended — we will always contact you first unless the damage is immediate.
5. Availability during early access
There is no uptime guarantee while SendWide is in early access, and we would rather say so than publish a number we are not yet measuring. We will tell you before planned work that affects sending.
6. Fees
Early-access pricing is agreed individually and held for participants after launch. Billing for generally available plans will run through Shopify's billing system.
7. Your data
Covered by the Privacy Policy. In short: it is yours, you can export it, and uninstalling stops sending immediately.
8. Cancelling
Uninstall the app from your Shopify admin whenever you like. There is no cancellation period and no exit fee. Export your suppression list before you go so that whatever you use next inherits it — we will help if the export is not obvious.
9. Liability
SendWide is provided as-is during early access. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you have paid us. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
10. Not affiliated with Shopify
SendWide is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shopify Inc.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
